Little Ballerinas Preschool Dance School in the St George and Sutherland Shire
Little Ballerinas offer quality children's ballet and dance classes with an educational and performing arts structure for toddlers and preschoolers.
Our St George & Sutherland Shire Dance School has dance and ballet classes in Cronulla, , Gymea, Hurstville, Kogarah Bay, Miranda, Mortdale, Menai, Oatley, Sutherland & Sylvania.
Our programs are so popular that we families that travel from all areas of Sydney and even out of Sydney too each week.
Our dance lessons are held in appropriate and safe halls, mainly community & church halls ~ to support the local groups & communities.
A hall with an open space, {floorboards or carpet} for the children to move in, is the main priority.
Mirrors and barres are not necessary for children under the age of 5....and Little Ballerinas actually intentionally selects halls (where we can) without them. Form and feel is the important thing when learning dance and mirrors for young children can understandably be very very distracting.
Even when children get older, dance teachers also turn students away from mirrors at times, as it is very important to gain a kinaesthetic feel for how the body moves, rather than visual.
Whilst a few halls may have mirrors and some with ballet barres the programs at Little Ballerinas are based on age appropriate learning and teaching methodology and do not require them.
We select all of our class premises based on a suitable selection criteria and also for the following; parking and transport convenience and the provision of waiting areas where possible with rooms, parks, cafes or shops very close by for parents/guardians being all important aspects.

If we don't currently have a dance class close enough for you in the Sydney St George area or Sutherland Shire, give us a call to chat. We normally need 5 "little ballerinas" to start up a dance class in a new location or on an additional day, so gather your Mums, toddlers and preschoolers and Little Ballerinas will be closer to you soon! We are more than happy to assist you if we can.
